Multispecialty Research & Clinical Trials

Our Area of Focus

The Multispecialty Research Division (MSRD), led by the Institute’s Chief Medical Officer, Michael Gordon, M.D., FASCO, is the organizational unit that provides budding research programs access to the Institute’s infrastructure. It’s an incubator of sorts, allowing them to grow and ultimately become an independent division.

MSRD continues to expand and foster new studies in medical specialties that have not previously been engaged in research. Medical specialties currently engaged in research within MSRD include:

  • Pulmonology
  • Pulmonary Hypertension
  • Surgical sub-specialties
  • Rheumatology

MSRD continues to serve as the launching pad for innovative programs, nurturing development of diverse and innovative research opportunities.

Multispecialty Care Advances

Multi-Specialty continues to launch new programs. At the beginning of 2024, MSRD launched its newest program, Rheumatologic Clinical Trials, increasing research opportunities that will give patients access to innovative therapies and cutting-edge clinical trials for a range of diseases such as systemic lupus, Sjogren’s among others.
