Biography

Dr. Sushmitha Patibandla a practicing Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology physician.

Her past publications include:

-50th Anniversary of the first successful permanent pacemaker implantation in the United States: historical review and future directions.

-Transcriptional profiling of CD133(+) cells in coronary artery disease and effects of exercise on gene expression.

-Targeted antagonism of CXCR4 mobilizes progenitor cells under investigation for cardiovascular disease.

-Predictors of endothelial function in employees with sedentary occupations in a worksite exercise program.

-Relation of endothelial function to cardiovascular risk in women with sedentary occupations and without known cardiovascular Disease.

-Over-expression of cardiac connexin45 increases susceptibility to ventricular tachyArrhythmias in vivo.

-Primary PCI for ST-segment elevation Myocardial infarction in a patient treated with subcutaneous enoxaparin utilizing point-of-care Enox test.

-Active on LinkedIn Cardiac eElectrophysiology space with case reports. Speaker for Medtronic in the leadless pacemaker space and local talks for ED docs in the recent past updating them on current EP advancements to help guide the patients.

-Currently teaching EP and cardiology fellows at the institution.

-Learning new technologies and implement in-patient care with quality outcomes.

Clinical research with devices and mapping.
Advancements in EP ablation with newer technologies, such as Pulse field ablation and physiologic pacing and defibrillation.
Currently working with Medtronic on their small-diameter defibrillation lead, the Medtronic OmniaSecure™ potentially bringing the technology for post market evaluation to HonorHealth.
J&J Pulse field ablation technologies to explore research opportunities in specific population.
