Biography

Dr. Hasan finished medical school at University of Baghdad College of Medicine in 2008. He conducted his residency at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, followed by his Cardiology fellowship at Ochsner Health in New Orleans.

He has trained in General Cardiology, complex coronary intervention, peripheral interventions, and did a year of dedicated structural heart interventions.

He is both passionate and experienced in complex coronary interventions, mechanical circulatory support, percutaneous valve interventions, PFO/ASD closure, mechanical Thrombectomy for acute pulmonary embolism and deep vein thrombosis.

Research Interests & Focus

Dr. Mohanad Hasan has strong intrests in structural heart interventions, particularly the rapidly evolving field of percutaneous valve therapies. His focus is aortic, mitral and tricuspid heart valves, and new technologies beyond the established therapies.
