Biography

Dr. Doshi currently serves as the Chief of Cardiovascular Medicine and Network Director of Electrophysiology at HonorHealth in Scottsdale, Ariz.

He holds the academic rank of Professor of Medicine at Arizona State University’s School of Medicine and Advanced Medical Engineering.

Dr. Doshi is a recognized leader in the field of clinical electrophysiology. He is an outstanding clinician and has a prolific background in clinical research. He has authored over 100 publications, and he annually presents multiple lectures at national and international symposiums.

He has served on the Board of Trustees for the Heart Rhythm Society and numerous other organizations in the field. He also has participated on numerous scientific advisory boards of cardiovascular device companies, as well as several editorial boards for journals. He is the new Editor-in-Chief of Heart Rhythm Case Reports.

Dr. Doshi is leading over a dozen clinical trials in Electrophysiology at HonorHealth, encompassing all aspects of the field.

He has mentored dozens of fellows and faculty within Electrophysiology, and has expanded that role to cardiovascular medicine.

Research Interests & Focus

Dr. Doshi’s research interest is all aspects of cardiac electrophysiology, but he is mostly focused on:
(1) Treatments for atrial fibrillation, including novel technologies for catheter ablation and stroke risk reduction, including left atrial appendage occlusion,
(2) Device-based therapy for heart failure, including cardiac resynchronization therapy, novel heart failure devices, and treatment of sleep disordered breathing,
(3) Novel pacing technologies, including leadless pacing, and
(4) Ambulatory monitoring solutions for arrhythmia diagnosis and treatment, and management of implantable cardiac devices.
