Biography

Stacie is a nationally board-certified Physician Assistant with over two decades of experience specializing in trauma, general surgery, and critical care. She currently serves as the Supervisor of Trauma Advanced Practice Providers at HonorHealth Scottsdale Osborn Medical Center campus, where she leads a high-performing team of trauma APPs.

Stacie earned her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Dietetics from Arizona State University.

Her career spans multiple Level I trauma centers and includes pivotal roles in developing trauma programs, leading clinical education initiatives, and optimizing surgical workflows. Before joining HonorHealth, she served as Lead Trauma PA at Abrazo West Hospital, where she helped establish their ACS-accredited trauma program. Her earlier roles included positions in thoracic, vascular, and general surgery at William Beaumont Hospital and the Detroit Medical Center.

In addition to her clinical work, Stacie is actively involved in clinical research and has co-authored multiple peer-reviewed publications, including recent work on artificial intelligence in medical literature and fall prevention in elderly patients.

Research Interests & Focus

Stacie Patterson is a member of the HonorHealth Multi-Center Trauma Research Consortium (HTRC). Her research focuses on advancing trauma care through evidence-based practice, technology integration, and injury prevention. Her work spans a variety of key areas, including: Trauma Systems and Outcomes, Clinical Application of Artificial Intelligence, Injury Prevention and Public Safety, and Performance Improvement and Compliance.
