Nathan Solod
Clinical Trials Manager
Question: How long have you been with HonorHealth?
Answer: I have been with HonorHealth since May 2025.
Q: At what point in your early life did you decide you wanted to go into a career in research?
A: I didn’t always know I wanted a career in research—it was something that revealed itself to me over time. A few years ago, I began working as a Clinical Research Coordinator and quickly discovered how rewarding it was to interact with patients and contribute to studies that could impact lives. That experience sparked a deeper curiosity about the bigger picture: how trials are managed and how research shapes the future of medicine. From there, I felt driven to learn more and take on roles that allow me to influence the process at a broader level. What started as a job became a passion for advancing science and improving patient outcomes.
Q: What is a work-related accomplishment you are proud of?
A: In the past six months, I’m most proud of being part of a team that truly values collaboration and education. Every group—from investigators, pharmacy, lab, clinic staff, CTBO team, regulatory team, and data coordinators—works together with one shared goal: launching novel research that inspires hope for patients.
Q: Why is it so important to encourage younger and diverse groups to pursue a career in research?
A: I would encourage anyone to pursue a career in research because it’s a journey filled with challenge, opportunity, and triumph. There’s nothing quite like overcoming obstacles alongside a team and sharing in that sense of accomplishment—whether it’s getting a trial up and running, completing complex data entry, or witnessing a patient finish their final visit on a life-saving study. Clinical research offers a rare perspective on patient outcomes, giving you a glimpse behind the curtain of how science truly changes lives.
