Abigail Sanders is an experienced clinical research professional with a strong background in Oncology, Bariatric, and Cellular Therapy clinical trials. She currently serves as an Associate Clinical Trial Specialist at HonorHealth Research Institute, where she plays a key role in aligning clinical trial operations with regulatory and institutional standards.
Abigail brings over 15 years of healthcare and research experience, including expertise in Medicare coverage analysis, contract and budget coordination, and clinical trial management systems.
She is Diné from northern Arizona, belonging to the Ute Salt Clan and born for the Tangle People Clan. Her maternal grandfather is from the Manygoats Clan, and her paternal grandfather is Cherokee from the Bird Clan. Abigail’s heritage informs her commitment to inclusive research practices and culturally sensitive care.
Prior to her current role, Abigail worked as a Clinical Research Coordinator III, where she was responsible for participant recruitment, consent administration, and data management. Her earlier experience includes serving as a Clinical Liaison for the Navajo Birth Cohort Study and working in clinical laboratory roles, where she developed a strong foundation in specimen processing and phlebotomy.
Abigail holds an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Medical Specialties from College America in Flagstaff.
