Caitlin graduated from the University of Arizona with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. After graduation, she took employment at Seattle Children’s Hospital as a nurse in the Psychiatry and Behavioral Medicine Unit. After 4.5 years as a bedside nurse, she advanced to a Clinical Operations Manager role within the organization, overseeing 5 clinical specialties: Pulmonary Medicine, Sleep Medicine, Medical Genetics, Biochemical Genetics, and Dermatology. Over the 3 years as an operations leader, she supported her five teams in several process improvement projects including: reducing patient wait times for the cystic fibrosis clinic, increasing the scope of practice for nurses in their home clinics, developing electronic processing for prior authorizations, and working as a clinical super user for the EPIC EMR roll out.
In the fall of 2021, she obtained her Master’s in Health Administration degree from the University of Washington. In 2022, she moved back to Phoenix, Arizona, and took a role with Phoenix Children’s Hospital to start-up their Suicide Prevention Program. For 2 years, she operationalized and implemented the Ask Suicide Screening Questions for patients over the age of 12 to identify needs and provide same day connection to mental health services. This program was launched at 28 clinics and 54 locations across Arizona and electronically administered over 100,000 screenings.
In June 2025, Caitlin accepted the position of Manager of Business Operations at HonorHealth Research Institute. She is currently working on several process improvement projects within her teams to improve the study start-up process for all stakeholders.
