Chad Adams has over 25 years of operational management experience, including 20 years in the healthcare sector and 15 years specifically in research operations. He possesses the expertise, training, and leadership qualifications essential for leading a clinical research enterprise. Throughout his career, Mr. Adams has showcased the advantages of effective clinical research operations, often through centralized trial structures that optimize resource use, enhance quality measures, and improve trial participation. Currently, he serves as the Associate Vice President for Research at HonorHealth and Chief Operational Officer at HonorHealth Research Institute, where he leverages his analytical skills and innovative approaches. In 2015, the University of Arizona Cancer Center sought a leader for its clinical research administration, research review committees, and clinical trials office ahead of the CCSG renewal. Mr. Adams’ unique skillset aligned with their needs, and upon joining in June 2015, he successfully led the revisions of the PRMS and CPDM and guided the CCSG grant application, achieving an excellent rating for CPDM and full PRMS approval within six months. In 2013, Chad was pivotal at Huntsman Cancer Institute (HCI), where he restructured the clinical trials office to enhance operations and fulfill the NCI’s requirements for a P30 grant. His efforts contributed to HCI receiving the NCI’s highest designation of Comprehensive Cancer Center. Before HCI, Mr. Adams served as Director of Quality Assurance and Compliance Services for Forte Research (now Advarra), the nation’s leading Clinical Trials Management System (CTMS) provider. His leadership helped expand the product, establishing it as the premier CTMS in the U.S. Given his extensive experience in research organizations and operational management, particularly in healthcare, Mr. Adams is a sought-after speaker at academic events and industry conferences.
