Elise has been in Arizona since 2019 when she started attending Arizona State University for her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She studied at the Downtown Phoenix ASU campus and enjoyed getting to learn about all the different avenues of nursing, however when graduation arrived, she started at the HonorHealth Scottsdale Shea Medical Center on the Surgical Oncology floor caring for post-operative patients. She was able to learn about a large variety of cancer types and see a large variety of surgeries but truly enjoyed getting to spend time with the patients and get to know them and their cancer journeys. Transitioning to the HonorHealth Research Institute allowed her to navigate finding new treatment options for patients as well as walk along side of them on their journey.
