Heather leads efforts to identify, develop, and secure innovative clinical trials involving investigational drugs and medical devices for the Bariatric/GI Research Division. With over 15 years of experience in clinical research, she is highly regarded for her ability to cultivate strategic partnerships with sponsors, investigators, and industry collaborators to bring cutting-edge Phase I–IV studies to the institute and ensure their successful execution.
Her expertise spans a wide range of therapeutic areas, including bariatric surgery and weight management, gastrointestinal disorders, interventional GI, pulmonology, infectious disease, and oncology. Heather plays a key role in expanding the research portfolio by evaluating trial feasibility, aligning studies with institutional goals, and ensuring readiness for successful trial activation.
With a Master’s Degree in School Counseling and a background in therapeutic roles within hospital settings, Heather brings a compassionate, patient-centered perspective to clinical research. Her leadership is driven by a commitment to advancing medical innovation and improving patient outcomes through strategic trial development.
