Helen Riahi brings a lifelong patient perspective to her work, having been diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of two. She channels her passion for compassion, thorough patient care into everything she does. She has personally experienced the life-changing impact of clinical research, currently benefiting from FDA-approved technologies like continuous glucose monitors and insulin pumps.
With a strong foundation in medication knowledge and patient safety from her pharmacy and clinical observership experiences, she transitioned into clinical research to make a broader impact. Since 2023, she has coordinated early-phase Oncology trials at HonorHealth Research Institute, where she is committed to advancing science while honoring the lived experiences of every patient.
Her perspective is shaped by years of navigating healthcare from both sides of the exam room, and reflects an understanding of what it means to live with, and rise above, chronic health conditions.
