Biography

Irfan Uddin is a seasoned clinical research professional with over 16 years of experience across the healthcare and pharmaceutical industries. Currently serving as a Senior Clinical Trials Operations Specialist at HonorHealth Research Institute, he leads Medicare/payor coverage analysis and budget development, operationalization of clinical trials and contract/amendments negotiations throughout the study lifecycle, ensuring alignment with institutional goals and regulatory standards.

Irfan’s role encompasses project management skills, Medicare/payor coverage analysis, budgeting, billing compliance, and contracting for multi-therapeutic studies. He collaborates closely with Research Program Managers, Principal Investigators, Regulatory, Finance, Legal Counsel, and Research Administration Personnel to drive successful trial execution.

With prior experience in both sponsor and site settings, Irfan brings a comprehensive understanding of clinical trial lifecycles, contract negotiations, and operational efficiencies. He has partnered with global CROs and sponsors to support study start-up, financial feasibility, and enrollment optimization. Known for his strategic problem-solving, mentorship, and ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, Irfan also contributes to departmental process improvement initiatives and reports key performance metrics to leadership. His work is driven by a passion for innovation and community impact, contributing to the success of both investigator-initiated and industry-sponsored trials.

During his free time, Irfan enjoys exploring the intersection of technology and healthcare innovation, often attending industry webinars and staying current with emerging trends in clinical research. He is also an avid traveler and amateur photographer, finding inspiration in new cultures and landscapes.
