Katrina grew up in San Diego and became a medical assistant in cardiology at Scripps for six years. During that time, she was introduced to research and became a research assistant at Scripps in cardiovascular department. She spent time as an assistant and then transitioned to a research coordinator for about 2 years.
She moved to Arizona in August 2023 and began her time at HonorHealth in October 2023 as a Clinical Research Coordinator II. Since starting at HonorHealth, she has become involved in various resource groups such as First Peoples, Honor in Pride, Cultural and Community Outreach Committee.
She also dedicates her time advocating for patients who are underrepresented and underserved in the community.
