Biography

With over 18 years of experience in clinical research, Kimberly Pinero brings extensive knowledge and dedication to her role as Research Compliance Lead at HonorHealth Research Institute.

Her career began as a Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC) in a private psychiatric practice in New Jersey, where she developed a strong foundation in patient coordination and protocol compliance.

After moving to Arizona, she joined the Research Institute as a CRC in Oncology, quickly distinguishing herself through her attention to detail and commitment to patient-centered research. Her leadership potential was recognized with a promotion to CRC Supervisor, where she led the CRC team, ensuring consistent execution of study protocols and adherence to GCP guidelines.

Kimberly transitioned to the compliance team in 2017 as a Clinical Research Monitor, expanding her expertise to include internal monitoring, investigator-initiated trials (IITs), and specialty studies. Her collaborative approach and thorough knowledge of regulatory guidelines contributed to stronger compliance oversight and improved operational practices across the institute.

In 2021, she was promoted to Research Compliance Lead. In this role, she oversees monitoring and auditing activities, institutional policies, supports institutional readiness for audits and inspections and supports staff development across multiple therapeutic areas.

Known for her integrity and proactive mindset, she is committed to advancing clinical research excellence and protecting the rights and safety of research participants.
