Kristen Macove is a dedicated Registered Nurse with over nine years of diverse experience in Oncology and Bone Marrow Transplant.
She began her career as a new graduate R.N. working at Banner Boswell Hospital in Medical Oncology. However, during nursing school, Kristen’s grew a deep passion for Pediatric Oncology, eventually leading her to Phoenix Children’s Hospital, where she spent over six years specializing in Hematology, Oncology, and Bone Marrow Transplant. During this time she became a Certified Pediatric Nurse and was a two-time Daisy Award nominee, five-time Nurse of the Year nominee, 2022 Preceptor of the Year, and 2022 March of Dimes Heroes in Action Pediatric Nurse of the Year nominee.
Seeking to broaden her expertise, Kristen transitioned to adult care at HonorHealth Scottsdale Shea Medical Center, focusing on Bone Marrow Transplant and Cellular Therapy. After spending time with a member of her family who was a clinical trial participant at the NIH, Kristen developed an interest in Oncology Research and is excited to work to continue to improve treatments and outcomes with those affected by cancer.
In her spare time, Kristen serves as a board member of Valley of the Sun Active 20-30/Valley Kids Foundation, which raises funds for local children’s charities. In addition to giving back to the community, Kristen enjoys traveling, reading, and spending quality time with her family.
