Biography

Neya Babu is a Clinical Research Coordinator at HonorHealth Cancer Care – Biltmore, part of the HonorHealth Research Institute. She manages the daily operations, which include coordinating complex gynecologic oncology clinical trials: sponsor collaboration, patient screening/eligibility, data collection and management, and direct patient care.

Neya serves as an integral liaison and patient advocate between principal investigators, physicians, regulatory affairs, research data coordination, and sponsors to ensure that the clinical trials are run ethically, efficiently, and in compliance with ICH-GCP and institutional policies.

Neya holds a Bachelor of Science in Applied Biological Sciences from Arizona State University. She has prior clinical experience from coordinating trials with the Phase I Oncology Clinical Trials team at HonorHealth Scottsdale Shea Medical Center, and within the pharmaceutical industry by compounding medications and understanding the pharmacology of chemotherapy medications. This is especially highlighted in the patient screening process when ensuring that any medications that the patient is already taking before they start trial are reviewed and will not interfere with the investigational product.

Neya is known for her exceptional patient care, adaptability, resilience, and problem-solving skills. She offers a dynamic approach to the overall collaboration and the patient experience within the Research Institute. Her creative soul and empath energy allows patients to feel welcomed, safe, and at ease within their care at the Institute.

She has a deep passion for the arts like painting and drawing. She loves spending time with family and close friends, and she enjoys the occasional boba milk tea.
