Paola Barraza-Duran serves as an Administrative Specialist at HonorHealth Research Institute, where she supports the physicians of the Oncology Research Division.
Born in Mexico and raised in Rochester Hills, Mich., Paola’s path to healthcare was shaped by personal experience. After losing her mother to cancer at the age of 13, she was inspired to pursue a career that would allow her to support others facing similar challenges.
She is currently enrolled in the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program at Chamberlain University. Paola’s long-term goal is to become a certified nurse, combining clinical expertise with her dedication to helping others feel cared for. Her unique blend of empathy, administrative skill, and commitment to continuous learning continues to help her throughout her journey in the medical field.
