Biography

Reed Harmon has a passion for storytelling, community building, and impactful communication. As the Digital Communications Specialist at HonorHealth Research Institute, he leads the development and execution of multimedia content across platforms — managing everything from video production and photography to newsletters, website content, and social media strategy. With a background in journalism, marketing, and visual media, Reed brings a dynamic blend of creative direction and strategic thinking to every project. He works closely with researchers, clinicians, and leadership to highlight the groundbreaking work being done at the Institute, translating complex research into accessible, compelling narratives for both internal and public audiences. Outside of his role at HonorHealth, Reed also runs a project called Soundbaked, a community-rooted music platform that showcases emerging artists through filmed sessions, local events, and digital storytelling. He is also a faculty member at the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism & Mass Communication at Arizona State University, where he teaches multimedia journalism. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism as well as a Master of Science in Digital Audience Strategy from ASU’s Walter Cronkite School of Journalism & Mass Communication.
