Biography

After completing undergraduate degrees in Biochemistry and Psychology (Neuroscience) at the University of Massachusetts in Amherst, Dr. Robin B. Webster accepted a chemistry technician position at BARD Cardiopulmonary in Tewksbury, Mass., while applying to graduate schools. Following acceptance into the Cell Biology doctoral program at the Vanderbilt University School of Medicine, with research focused on the role of chromatin in gene regulation during mammalian neurodevelopment, Dr. Webster has since worked as:

-A postdoctoral researcher at the University of Arizona, investigating cytokine gene regulatory mechanisms in human neonatal T Cells;

-Lab manager/researcher at the Medical University of South Carolina, validating lung cancer array data;

-A laboratory clinical research technician in the HonorHealth Research Institute.

In addition to his role in research specimen management in the HonorHealth Research Institute research laboratory, he has provided laboratory support for the startup of Investigator-Initiated Trials at the Institute, and played a key role in helping shape laboratory workflow processes to improve efficiency and patient safety.
