Biography

Dr. Shashvat Desai is a pioneering physician-scientist specializing in vascular neurology and endovascular neurosurgery research.

Dr. Desai completed his medical education at Seth GS Medical College and KEM Hospital in Mumbai, India, followed by post-doctoral and fellowship training at the University of Pittsburgh.

His extensive research contributions, including over 100 peer-reviewed publications, have been widely recognized within the global neurology community. He has also served as a fellow of the National Institutes of Health (NIH), where his work focuses on creating efficient, accessible solutions for stroke treatment.

As Medical Director of the Neurovascular Device Lab at HonorHealth in Arizona, Dr. Desai leads efforts in the development of novel devices that improve procedural outcomes, emphasizing his commitment to transforming stroke care.
