Winnie Tran, Ph.D., is an accomplished IT and clinical research professional with nearly a decade of experience at the intersection of technology, research and healthcare.
Winnie holds progressively advanced roles in clinical research coordination and data management, collaborating across disciplines such as oncology, cardiology, neuroscience and various disciplines. She earned her Executive Ph.D. in Information Technology from the University of the Cumberlands, where her research focused on IT governance in hospital systems to optimize technology investments and strategic alignment.
She also holds a Master of Science in Biomedical Diagnostics and a Bachelor of Science in Life Sciences, both from Arizona State University. Known for her expertise, leadership, and ability to bridge technical and clinical domains, Winnie is a trusted subject matter expert and a driving force in the digital transformation of healthcare research.
She currently serves as a Research IT Systems Specialist at HonorHealth, where she leads the implementation of applications, development of electronic data capture (EDC) systems, and integration of complex platforms to support cutting-edge clinical research. Her work ensures alignment with FDA regulations, CDISC standards, and best practices in data integrity and system validation.
