Biography

Zuena Mushtaq is a data analyst and program management professional with over eight years of experience in healthcare and more than four years working in data analytics. Her work focuses on using data to improve clinical research, streamline healthcare operations, and support decision-making through strong analyses and visualizations.

Currently serving as a Systems Specialist at the HonorHealth Research Institute, Zuena helps manage the Clinical Trial Management System (CTMS) and supports teams by analyzing research data and building real-time dashboards in Power BI and Excel. She also provides training and technical support to staff on tools, processes, and best practices in data integrity.

Before this, she worked as a Data Analyst Program Manager II at the University of Arizona and Banner Health. In that role, she oversaw program operations tied to NIH milestones, analyzed large datasets using Excel and Tableau, and developed data-driven reports to guide strategic planning. Her efforts directly supported improvements in clinical research operations and patient engagement.

Zuena has also led research teams as a Clinical Research Coordinator and Clinical Site Manager, where she successfully met enrollment targets and improved study data quality. Her foundation in biomedical research includes time as a Cancer Research Training Fellow at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Md., and as a student researcher at ASU’s Biodesign Institute in Tempe, Ariz.

She holds two master’s degrees from Arizona State University, one in Biology and another in Program Evaluation and Data Analytics. Her technical skills include Excel, Power BI, SQL, and Power Automate, as well as expertise in data cleaning, visualization and reporting.

Zuena is known for combining analytical skills with a deep understanding of healthcare systems to drive meaningful outcomes in clinical research and data programs.
